Kathrine is a doctoral student at Stanford University in Dr. Laura Carstensen's Lifespan Development Laboratory. She is broadly interested in the cognitive, emotional, and social strengths of aging and how these assets can be utilized to promote well-being in increasingly age-diverse societies. In particular, she hopes to examine how people are motivated to pursue well-being across the lifespan based on age and culture. Kathrine strongly values mentorship, equity, applied science, and science communication.
Kathrine earned her bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Claremont McKenna College as a Bill and Melinda Gates Interdisciplinary Science Scholar. Later, she worked at DIS: Study Abroad in Scandinavia, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
